News room

Welcome to the Virginia Energy Choice newsroom.

The newsroom is your one-stop information source about the restructuring of the Commonwealth’s electricity and natural gas markets. We hope you will visit this page often so that we may provide you with up-to-date, factual material on the new way in which Virginians may purchase their energy services.

The Virginia Energy Choice media kit is the first place to start to learn more about Virginia’s new competitive energy market. The kit includes Frequently Asked Questions about Virginia Energy Choice, a list of Questions Consumers Should Ask when choosing an energy supplier, an Energy Comparison Worksheet, an Energy Restructuring Timeline, and information on the State Corporation Commission.

You must have a media player installed on your computer to view any television clips below. If you do not already have a media player installed, you can download the free Windows Media Player. Because of their large file size, when downloading the television clips you might want to click the “pause” button on your media player and wait to view the clip until it is fully downloaded.
